Joachim Schoss

Joachim Schoss joined the Advisory Board of the ROSE project in November 2019. Since then, he has been highly empowering the development of the ROSE Impact Valuation method. Starting from the purpose of the project - namely to give a tool to investors and startups to value impact - he used his exceptional personal experience as an entrepreneur and investor to guide the method development as well as challenge and refine the results.


Judith Walls
Chair Sustainability Management University St. Gallen

Prof. Judith Walls is leading the Chair for Sustainability Management at the University of St. Gallen. She is also Co-Director of the Institute for Economy and the Environment (IWÖ) from the University. Judith researches the intersection of business and environmental sustainability focusing on governance such as behavioral characteristics of boards and managers in the context of stakeholder and other institutional pressure on organizations.


Igor Perisic

Igor Perisic is one of the first who committed to the development of the ROSE project. Building on his background as a statistician, he was at the origin of the statement that Impact could be quantified. From his leadership experience at LinkedIn but also in several startups, Igor gave extensive feedback and supported the development of the Operational Sustainability assessment.


Schiesser Werner
CEO BDO Schweiz & Chairman of the Council

Werner Schiesser plays a key role in the establishment of the ROSE framework as a standard. As the CEO of an audit firm, he helped provide clear guidelines on how to establish a data collection strategy to ultimately be able to set clear benchmarks and strengthen the accuracy and reliability of the ROSE assessment.

Offering her expertise in organizational and individual development, Gabrielle has played a key role in the development of the Operational Sustainability Assessment of the ROSE framework. She builds on more than 15 years of experience in strategic development, with a core focus on human fulfillment and governance aspects necessary to the sustainable development of an entity. Gabrielle also supported the ROSE team in defining its own strategy and positioning during the development phase of the project.

Dr. Eglantine Jamet

Eglantine holds a Ph.D. in social sciences and is specialized in gender matters. Building on her experience as both a founder and expert in recruitment, she provides expert advice on all gender-related matters within the ROSE project.

Dr. Christina Hertel

EPFL Research Associate - Chair for Entrepreneurship and Technology Commercialization

Christina holds a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich and is currently a lecturer in Sustainable Entrepreneurship at the EPFL. She has played a major role in ensuring the quality and consistency of the whole development of the ROSE Framework. Christina provided extensive knowledge on the topic of sustainability for business, supporting, in particular, the mapping of existing assessments and institutions concerned with sustainability topics. She also developed the data-collection strategy - the key to the standardization of the ROSE Framework.

The ROSE project stems from a discussion with Florian Schweitzer about startups - their technologies and new business models - and how they shape the world. This is the underlying question that still drives the development of the ROSE assessment today.
